I will be completing a summary of potential ideas for my pitch that fulfills LO2.

NAME: 

Name: The Daily Life Of A UTC Student

This appeals to it's target audience as it directly talks about the interest of the audience, which is the UTC.

PURPOSE: 

Inform & Entertain. The podcast will inform the audience about the UTC and how it operates, but to a degree will entertain since it is informal and will follow a loose structure.

CONTENT:

The podcast is Informal as they are the most appealing and easily accessible types of podcast.

Topics:

• Weekly schedule
• Events
• Future careers
• Employers
• Teaching
• A day's layout

Jingle: Modern, Dub step, Techno. Since modern music is very focused in sound effects all effects will be in the music itself. The jingle will say in an automated tone "UTC". 

Interviews will be live in studio, with either teaching staff or students. This will directly appeal to the audience since the guest is directly linked to the interest.

Music: Modern, using free music on websites that provides free music that do not need copyright licensing. Though PRS licensing will be required if we use other music. All content would follow ASA, OFCOM and Bcap regulations.

Adverts: Advertising will be done by the presenters since the podcast is essential promoting the UTC and how it operates. This will appeal to the audience since we are directly talking about their interest in the UTC, 

Broadcast: Since this is a podcast it will be not be broadcast live but will be released weekly and available for download and streaming online. 15:00 hrs every week.

Advertises will be Sheffield Live!

TARGET AUDIENCE & DEMOGRAPHICS:

Target audience will be those 17 and under. This will be because this is promotional material for the UTC and those under 17 can apply to join the UTC. Therefore it will appeal to all under 17 featuring content that would be enjoyed by those under. 

The audience would fall under E, which is those who are students or unemployed.

Audience Profile:

I'm Joe I am in my final year of secondary school and are looking for place to apply to next year. At the moment I am currently considering the UTC since I share an high interest in Media and all that revolves around it. I also like technology and that specifically of computers, I have skills in a range of software and like to create videos in my spare time these include short films and other media related content. I love editing them and adding effects and consider it a future career working for a company like the BBC. In my spare time I also like to talk to my friends over the internet but nothing beats meeting them in person and going to parties especially those that feature my favorite type of music Dub-step and Techno. I like to drink Coke and eat a Subway. Though I maintain a healthy diet.
